CURRY
500g Chuck steak, fat removed and cubed.
1 large carrot, chopped
1 large potato, chopped
Half cauliflower, chopped
1 tin chopped tomatoes
Curry powder (1 tsp - or to suit prefered taste)
1/4 teaspoon Cumin
1/4 teaspoon Corriander
Place all ingredients in Slow cooker. Add a little water, enough so that ingredients are mostly covered.
Cook for 6+ hours on Low. If thickening of sauce is required, I make a paste of cornflour and water and add it just before serving. Serve on bed of rice

EASY KORMA CURRY - Slowcooker
EASY KORMA CURRY
Either chicken (i usually do about 500g)
A tin or jar of Pataks Indian Korma Curry Paste
A packet of frozen chunky veges (the ones with onion, celery, potatos, pumpkin)
A tin of tomatoes (chopped up)
Fill that empty tin with water and add
A tin of Chick Peas
A sprinkle of curry powder
Salt and pepper (however much you think is right)
Some chopped up/crushed garlic
An extra onion if you feel like it.
Throw it all in and either cook for 7 hours slow ... or 4 hours on high.
Serve with rice and some yummy naan bread or pappadums.
---------
You can do the same thing with any of the pataks range ... i also like the rogan with chicken or lamb if you like for either

Minestroni soup - Slowcooker
Minestroni soup
300gm diced bacon
2 small potatos
2 celery stalks
2 carrots
1/2 onion (the onion was HUGE though
1 large can diced tomatoes
500g pasta (I used shells)
2 beef stock cubes
1 1/2 litres water
2 heaped teaspoons of minced garlic
Italian Herbs, Oregano and Parsley
Method:
Dice everything! Brown off onion and bacon (use a bit of olive oil). Dissolve 2 beef stock cubes in 1 1/2 litres of water (or use 1 1/2 litres of stock).
Chuck everything bar the pasta in the slow cooker and put on Auto for 9 hours. 15 mins before serving, cook off pasta and mix in with soup.
In hindsight I probably would have used less water, more garlic, and another stock cube (I've lessened the amount of water for the recipe above.add salt and pepper to taste at the end.

Chocolate Fudge Pudding Cake - Slow Cooker
Chocolate Fudge Pudding Cake
This rich, gooey cake is good straight from the crockpot, cold or reheated. It doesn't keep very well, but you shouldn't have any left over anyway
1 cup flour
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp. cocoa
2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 cup milk
2 Tbsp. oil
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1 3/4 cups hot water
Spray 4 quart crockpot with nonstick cooking spray. In large bowl, combine first 5 ingredients and stir to combine. Add milk, cooking oil and vanilla and stir well. Pour into prepared crockpot.
In a medium bowl, stir second amount of brown sugar and second amount of cocoa together. Add hot water and mix well until blended. Pour over batter in crockpot; do not stir! Cover crockpot and cook on high about 2 hours or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean. 8-10 servings
